About TB Performance Camshaft – 2022 & Up Grom, Monkey & Dax
TBparts performance camshaft for 2022+ Honda Grom, Monkey & Dax. Designed with more lift to open both valves up more to let more air and fuel in. More air and fuel equals more power! The cam ramp is also more aggressive to open the valves quicker to sneak even more power out! Unleash more power with this modified performance cam grind! Will work great with stock engines and even better with modified engines/big bore kit!
Valve Lash Settings – 0.003″ Intake/Exhaust
Tuning is required for best results. Most performance camshafts (because of what they mechanically do) require a higher idle setpoint, less fuel off and around idle, and more fuel mid to top range. Without these changes performance gains will not be consistent.

I bought his for my 2023 Monkey along with the DHM tune. I already had an Akropovich Exhaust and DNA stage 3 Intake.
When I installed it, there WAS a noticeable power change and I went from a top speed of 61 to 66 mph.
But, there was also an extreme hiccup or miss in the mid range. I double checked my timing and valve lash and everything was good.
MNNTHBX box says they’ve never heard of this but when I called DHM directly, they said they are aware and have not been able to “tune that out” on the 2022+ bikes with the TB cam.
That is not indicated on either the MNNTHBX or DHM websites. Basically, you have to ride this cam in the highest RPM range ALL THE TIME. I commute on my bike and this hiccup is right at 36-38 mph and was so annoying I had to remove the cam. Money wasted since MNNTHBX won’t return it.

Instalation was difficult because the bearing was an extremely tight fit. Cam has massive dead spot in middle of rpm range. Have ridden about 30 miles with stage 2 ecu and it’s just bad. If I can get it back out, will buy DHM cam.

Manny, the bearing is identical to all other cam bearings, and fit the same. It’s a very popular cam for sure, but understand every cam will prefer it’s own mapping based on profile, so if it hasn’t been accounted for, that’s the cause of any perceived flat spot you’re experiencing.
