TB Performance Camshaft Kit – Kawasaki Z125

About TB Performance Camshaft Kit – Kawasaki Z125
TB Performance Camshaft Kit – Kawasaki Z125
Kawasaki Z125 Performance Camshaft Kit. This is for use with any stock cylinder head setup (110cc-143cc+). This grind has years of R&D built into it. Stock applications will see peak gains close to 1HP. The best part is that this cam carries those HP gains all the way from the bottom of the RPM range unlike most other cams that shave power off the bottom end to move it up-top. Not to mention this camshaft is brand new, not a regrind, and includes brand new Taiwan TPI bearings made to OEM specifications. The cam requires the rear bearing to be removed before installation.  Features:
  • Average of 1hp gain throughout the RPM range in stock applications
  • Brand new camshaft and bearings
  • Works great with the stock cylinder head on a stock Z125
  • Cam sprocket and hardware included for installation!
Note – This is a bolt on kit for 2017+ Kawasaki Z125s. This is not a decompression cam like OEM, but will not affect starting with stock bore or 143 bore kits. Tuning is required for optimal performance but is not always necessary with basic cam swaps.

I am kind of disappointed in this cam shaft, first I have been trying to get ahold of MNNTHBX about if there are any specs for the valve adjustments with this cam and couldn’t find anything on this email them and have yet to get a response as well as called and reached them when they “apparently cant take calls” there are no instructions to remove and install this cam which I did not need but for others would be helpful, I adjusted the valves at stock specs and it runs but not great, would like to get something out of this if it says works with stock then it should work fine.

A few points up front: We’re crazy easy to reach. By phone, if you can’t get through, you’re either calling during non-business hours or we’re on the line with another customer, as we take calls continuously all day long. By email: They NEVER go unattended. If you sent it to the correct address, then the reply apparently found your junk mail, or, you typed your email addy in wrong and we had no way to reply (we actually see this happen quite a bit). Emails are often answered LONG after hours on our free time, and I can ensure you you weren’t ignored. As for the cam: It will work with a stock bike, however it clearly states in the product description a proper tune is required to get the maximum performance out of it. That’s always the case with any intake, exhaust, or cam.

Hi I also purchased the TB Performance Cam kit for the Kawasaki z125 and I’m not very happy at the moment the bike feels slower and it feels sluggish. I adjusted the valves every which way stock felt no good at first then I set them at 3 and 3 and that seems to feel the best so far but why the hell is the bike slower and feel like it’s holding back when u get on the throttle. If I can’t get any help I’m probably gonna take it out and go with a DCR cam I believe that cam uses the original cam sprocket which might be the answer to the issues I’m having.. 🤞

      (1) Did you fuel it correctly? (2) Did you contact us for help?

No I didn’t try to contact anyone Kevin I tried to solve the issue myself and also what I’ve been reading about the cam and the setting of the valves but the bike finally woke up it’s pulling nice now I got the ticking to stop by setting the valves at 3 and not bashing u guys I was just frustrated cause I had a very similar issue with my Grom and I did reach out for help from a known shop that is very known and I was told to just put my stock parts back in after I already spent a lot of money and a shit load of sweat time putting in these parts that they said would work with my setup so I apologize for my first review I definitely won’t be buying ANYTHING from that shop again but the cam is working it self out now I guess I reseted the ECU and gave it time to break in and it’s fine now and faster then it ever was so thank u MnnthbX
